In March 2006 Cody's seizures returned after being seizure free for 3 months.  This time they were no longer "infantile spasms clusters" - they came back in the form of 'startle' seizures.  Startle seizures are rare - they are induced by noise.  In this case, it was our coffee grinder.  Play Movie

This is how Cody's seizures currently look.  They are tonic (which means "stiffening.")  They last anywhere from 30 seconds to 2.5 minutes.  This is 1 minute of the middle of a seizure.  You can hear that he's not breathing for most of it.  He turns blue although you can't see that on this video.  Typically he screams and shakes some...but this video does not show that.
