I am thrilled to say that today Cody only had 1 small seizure.  He was "kind of" back to himself although he's going through a really weird OCD spell.  He is OBSESSED with riding in the car.  He screams and screams and walks to the front door and hands my my shoe, my keys, his coat and his shoe.  Usually I can't resist and I take him for a ride but I just can't spend the whole day doing that!  So sometimes I have to say "no" and he spends the next 2 hours screeching at the top of his lungs.  He is so manic about it - it's very strange.  Last night he finally slept thru the night too.  Praise the Lord. 

Today was much more calm in our house.  Thanks so much if you found time to pray - it must have worked! 

Other good news - Casey cheek is on the mend.  All that's left are little pink patches - but not the gory, bloody red mess that was there before.  I called the dermatologist to tell him and he said he wants me to bring Casey in because he has to see it for himself - he can't believe it!  We've battled this cheek since he was 3 months old and he's almost 8 months!  It's been such a stubborn problem. 

I am grieving the final chapter of breastfeeding - I was pumping for awhile after Casey stopped nursing and now - there's just none left.  Nothing left to pump.  Breastfeeding him was never easy - and never what I'd hoped it would be.  But I eeked out 7 months of it and I know it did him a world of good.  Still, I'm sad to see the end of it all.  I would have loved to have known what it was like to have the simply ease of nursing that so many mothers have.  I miss it.  Now my little boy is an octapus - all hands grabbing, reaching, craning his neck, arching his back - not sitting still - scrambling to crawl.  He's growing up!  Maybe I'm grieving that too.  That "baby" chapter was so sweet.  But I've never experienced this age before - Cody "stopped" at 6 months and never went any further.  Everything Casey is doing is a first for me - waving, crawling, mimicing.  So much fun.  I am blessed.
