Guess who's now standing up and ready to take a few steps!

Boy does Casey think he's a hot shot - he is free standing - and today he ventured a tiny step - and then one more!  It won't be long before I'm chasing him all over the house.  Help!  He's 1 year old in 1 month - where does the time go??!!  Just too fast.

Happy Father's Day to you father's out there.  Don woke up to a home made T-shirt by the boys.  I put both their hand prints on it with fabric paint - which is no easy task when Cody has no idea how to follow directions and just squishes his hand into a ball when the paint goes on it!  But we did it!!!  I was pretty happy with the results - two hand prints - "casey" and "cody" written below each - and "2008" on the bottom.  Whew.  That took years off my life!  :)

He wore it proudly to church - with a giant grin.  One friend said "America's Best Dad?"  Wow - America's a big country - you're a stud!

Right now Don's off getting a professional massage.  Friday we went on a date to celebrate Father's date - I planned it all out and got a sitter.  She came over after both boys were in bed which is pretty much the only way someone can watch both of our children - when they're asleep!  :)

We went to downtown Bellevue to a restaurant called Maggianos and our friends Mike and Roseanna met us there and we had a great time talking and laughing.  Then we went to see Iron Man.  Oh my - it was SO good!  I highly recommend it - family friendly - and Robert Downey Jr. was fantastic.  We didn't get home till after 1am!  Yay for us - a rare treat to get out without the boys.

Cody's had a few good seizure days - just small ones.  We meet with his neurologist tomorrow at Children's and will probably set up a date for his VNS surgery.  Yikes.  Not going to be fun.

Gotta run - boys are tearing the family room apart!

love, Shawna
