Hello all,

Thanks to those who sent such wonderful encouragements about the twins since my last post!  It's kind and very heart warming to know we have that support.  I am waddling around ~ feeling kicks and wiggles ~ and reading up on 'life with twins.'  It is quite daunting and there is so much to learn!

Casey has now changed their names (I think this will be a weekly process).  When he asked me how the girls can breathe in my tummy, and I told him they are kind of like little fishies because they kind of swim around and don't need any air....he decided to update their names to Fishy Larry and Fishy Bob.  So there ya go.

I am set to deliver by C-section at 36 weeks and would love prayer to make it that far (and maybe farther?!?)  They want to do an amnio at the 36 week mark and see how the lungs are developed, and if they look good, they will opt to deliver at that point rather than risk uterine rupture if we wait longer.  I have mixed feelings about it.  Having a special needs child....the last thing I want is to have babies spend time in the NICU or on respirators and such!  37 weeks would be much better and is considered 'full term' for twins.  So I'd love prayer for that.  I'm trying to rest regularly.  I was told 'no longer than 1 hour on your feet at a time' which is hard to manage with two little ones!

Don is out for a run with Cody in the jogger stroller and Casey is taking what I call a 'quiet time' in his room.  Now that he's done with daily naps, I try to get him to at least lay down and rest for an hour a day.  It's like pulling teeth, but it's a good break for him and for us!

That's our latest news for now!

love to all,

Shawna
