Hi there, I know I'm really video-happy these days, but I had to share this from the playground today.  We took Cody and Casey to what we call the 'Blue Park' and it was one of those glorious days when Cody was calm and happy...and willing to explore!  As you can see, he has come a long way in terms of his tolerance of outdoor activities, his willingness to follow verbal directions, and his independence and stability.  After he climbs up and slides down, he shows off his latest skill which is running!  He's stable enough now that I can let him take off for a bit...knowing he was headed for the wagon and would stop there.

And here's Cody on his new super-awesome adapted trike!  He's even PEDALING by himself a tiny bit!

So we're seeing some fun stuff with Cody.  This park never has any kids so it's perfect - no germs - no chaos - just nice and calm for Cody and his brother.  Casey is hysterical because his favorite thing to do is sit at the top of the slide and say, 'come on up, brother!  it's fun!  let's slide down together!'  Casey has a heart of gold and never ceases to amaze me with his love for Cody.  Now, granted he wore ear plugs all morning to block out his brother's loud raspberry noises....but that's just Casey's smart way of coping.  :)
with love,
Shawna
