Cody is sleeping soundly - one more day of survival! Don and I are breathing again. Cody just received his tamilflu, seizure meds, motrin and coQ10. What a mouthfull! He also ate a 4 oz. feed and continues to tolerate them. I'm a bit nervous about how it will go without the Zofran! I am so exhausted I can barely stand up. Don is too. But neither of us as exhausted as Cody. I wanted to say goodnight - and thank you all for the notes. I read them in our room and cry from a heart that is so full. I just can't imagine how we are so blessed with such an army of people. I have gotten emails from Jamaica, Australia, South Carolina --- and more --- all saying our prayer request got to them from some circuitous route - someone who knows us, who posted it on facebook, who forwarded my emails. And here is the miracle that is a result of so much love and prayer - Cody hasn't had a seizure in 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Specialist said, 'that's pretty eerie.' We all knew that when the seizures escalated from the flu, that could be the point of no return. We've braced ourselves - we have tons of vials of rescue meds ready to go - we have been watching like a hawk. NO SEIZURES. His brain has gotten such a wonderful rest. His body is not arching and contorting from seizures - ON TOP of the flu. We are so beyond grateful to the Lord that He has stopped these seizures during this crucible. Your prayers, no doubt, were key in this blessing. We continue to soldier on - another day in the hospital tomorrow. And then we'll mark day 4 of survival - God willing! He is still flat on his back with momentary flashes of eyes open - and those are moments to celebrate. He even cracked a smile today which was like winning the lottery. Our hearts are filled to overflowing. Please continue to pray for these seizures to give his little body a break - it has been heavenly not to have them go crazy when that is exactly what we all expected. He has a long road ahead, but as long as he's alive, who cares!?! with love, Shawna
