We have had a HUGE bright spot in our week, Cody's new Medical Stroller arrived! 

We've been waiting for 6 months to get this - and it was finally approved and delivered.  Up til now we've been using a beat up Target stroller we got when Cody was a baby - that is seriously on it's last leg.  But we didn't want to buy a new one because we had submitted a request to the powers that be - for this Medical Stroller.  Finally it's here and it's way cooler than we even expected!  First, Cody finally has a stroller that fits him!  He LOVES it.  It's padded in all the right places, you can adjust everything, there's a tray which he adores for eating, looking at books, etc.  He just likes pounding on the tray so far.  :)

And the best part is that the chair turns 360 degrees so now Cody will FACE me as I stroll him!  This will alleviate so much stress since I will see if he's eye poking, having a seizure, etc.  This brand of stroller is the only one that has this feature.  And the seat can go back flat if he has a seizure so he can be safe, and then fall asleep comfortably. 

The ride is SO smooth - just like butter! 

I'm shocked at how much something like a Medical Stroller can change life.  Proof that our priorities and perceptions have changed over the last 4 years.  Right now it is all about quality of life.  We are trying to get a special needs car seat because Cody's current car seat is too small and doesn't provide enough support when he's seizing and post ictal.  Our request was rejected - so we are appealing.  It will be another 6 month process.  But these contraptions do make life so much better. 

So we are grateful for this sunny day and that Cody just adores his new ride!
