Hi all.  Can you believe this heat?  (That is, if you live in my area.)  WOW!  I had AC put in when I was pregnant with Casey (I would sell all my posessions to have AC!) so it's bearable.  But if we didn't have it - and had a child whose body can't regulate temperatures like Cody - I don't know WHAT we'd do!

Cody is having a good day today.  To me, that means he's smiley, seizures are in the single digits, and no 'emergencies.'  We are still fighting that granulation tissue around his stoma and have to take him in this week to have it burned off with a silver nitrate stick.  We've been using steroid cream for 2 weeks to try to avoid.  Sigh.  Poor little guy - if anything can go wrong it will!  He is still up at least twice a night from gas pain.  Last night was typical.  He fell asleep at 9:30pm...then was up at midnight for an hour.  Then up again at 4am.  We have an appt. with our gastro Dr. at Children's tomorrow to discuss the craziness.

Don's folks were in town over the weekend so that was great.  I got to go to Women of Faith knowing that Don had a lot of support in the home with the boys.  And I haven't had to cook for a couple of days thanks to the meals Nanny left behind!  Casey got his first trike thanks to their visit and thinks he's a super dooper hot shot on it!

It's too hot to write much more.  :)

Hope you all are well - we'll post more after our meeting with the gastro man tomorrow.

with love,

shawna
