"our lucky streak ended" hmm...I am not sure how to even responde to this...there is no luck as a Christian.....
Shawna, speak words of life over your child....if you do, you will have amazing streaks where you will see that boy healed. Our God is a God of faith....He responds in healing to faith. I suggest you read some books by Kenneth E Hagen."

This is one of many emails I've received from this person - all quoting my blog back to me and accusing me of keeping Cody sick.  Each time this person says "please try this, for the sake of your child."  In other words, if I don't try Kenneth Hagen's philosophies, I am hurting Cody.  And there is conveniently no way to "reply" as any reply is returned as "undeliverable."

Here's the deal:  Kenneth Hagen is a quack!  His theology is so totally skewed - and the people (probably a couple dozen so far) who have tried to push this theology on me over the years - are operating under false teaching.  I don't have the time or energy to even debate this - and honestly it's so ludicrious that I don't even want to bother.  Hagen believes this:

Physical Healing: It is always God's will that every believer be physically healed of any sickness or infirmity. Hagin based this belief on the understanding that that healing for the physical body was included in redemption. If redemption was available to all then healing would also be available to all. (Word of Faith magazine, 6/90; 7/92; 8/92; 12/92, Kenneth Hagin, Redeemed from Poverty, Sickness and Deathand Healing Belongs to Us).  Material Wealth: It is always God's will that every believer be 'financially blessed' through faith.

This is bogus!  I only give "faith walker" space on this website because if you are another special needs parent, don't let the folks who believe this stuff make you feel like you're doing something 'wrong' if your child isn't healed.  Certainly God can, and sometimes does, provide physical healing.  Many times, He does not.  Hagen's theology says that if you (or your child or whoever) is not being healed, you are doing something wrong.  Good grief, what a heinous thing to put on a parent of a sick child.

Yes, being positive, hopeful, and faith-driven is a good thing as a Christian.  But telling me that if I slip up and have a negative day, or say something "real", that I am causing my son to stay sick?  Give me a break!  These people seem to look for blogs, people, and circumstances to target - then the barrage you with emails about how you're keeping your child sick.  It is wrong, and so terribly the opposite of what true Christian faith really is about.

So "faith walker" - don't bother emailing again from any of your addresses - as well as any of the other "name it and claim it" folks out there - your addresses are blocked and I will never see your emails.  If you come up with a new address, I'll have it blocked too without even reading it.  Your messages will never be seen by my eyes so save yourself the energy - and I will pray for you - that you will someday realize the needless pain you are inflicting on people.

Shawna
