Hello there,

I've just finished reading the clinic note from Cody's neurologist from our last visit.  "Cody cannot produce enough energy to support all of his organs, in particular, his brain.  Cody does not have a "classic" mitochondrial syndrome and so the prognosis is not clear, but certainly it is guarded.  Cody has a severe dysfunction of complex I/III.  In addition, complex II/III is also low.  As well as his cytochrome C oxidase or complex IV."

It is always so much harder once you get it in print.  We continue to grapple with this diagnosis and prognosis.  The Dr. did say Cody will probably not live a long life, as in living to an old age.  So we decide that what he may lack in quantity of years, we will make up for in quality.

And we keep praying for that miracle that will restore him to full health.  God is able.
