Hi there - I'm glad to report Cody's seizures have gone down now that his ear infection is under control.  We are finally getting some sleep!  I think he only had 3 seizures today which is a low number for us.  It's been a fun weekend cuz daddy is home from work all week!  Don and I have stayed up and watched videos at night - and have felt a bit more carefree than normal.  It is good for us.  For he and I - a "treat" on a weeknight is putting the kids to bed, making a bowl of popcorn, and watching 1 episode of a TV series that's on DVD.  We've been through "24", "Grey's Anatomy", and now we're on "Prison Break."  This is the one short time every day we try to connect.  Course it actually happens about twice a week - but it's our stab at trying to relax together.  On a 'crazy' night we watch 2 episodes!  Two nights ago Cody was up until 3am and we even watched 3 episodes!  Look out - we're WILD!  Haha.

Marathon training is going great!  Don went on a 10 mile run yesterday - 7 of the miles with Cody!  Cody had his parka, gloves, sunglasses, hat, and thermals on and he loved it!  The Redmond Reporter comes over in the morning to interview us about 'Team Cody' in the Seattle Marathon!  And this week Don is interviewed by the Seattle Times who will also join us on race day.  Lots of fun!  I'll post links to the stories once they're printed.

Don and Cody will be training together all week - and then on Sunday it's the big 26 mile run!  Don is thrilled that the weather report says it's supposed to be sunny!  Two years ago it snowed during the Marathon.  Not exactly how you want to run - up and down hills in the snow and sleet - for 4 hours!  We're praying for a decent day - mostly for Cody's sake.  He will be joining Don for the last part of the race and we want him to be comfortable.  Don has a wind/rain proof cover for the jogger stroller, but it's not as fun as feeling the wind on his face and being able to fully see all the sights as he races by them.

Well that's it for now - gotta get ready for a big day of therapy tomorrow.

with love, shawna
