Well I found out why the escalation in seizures and trouble sleeping - massive ear infection.  We started him on anti biotics today but not before he'd had 9 seizures in 1 hour.  We gave him the rescue med diastat - which knocked him out and he's sleeping quite soundly now.  Poor guy.  He didn't go to bed until midnight last night - so he hasn't gotten much sleep. As much as I hate giving him the diastat-valium, it is nice to see him sleeping so soundly without seizures waking him every 10 minutes.  Last night he had 4 seizures in the night - each one waking him up - and I had to put him back to sleep after each one.  So we're running on very little sleep in this house!  Luckily Don is off all next week so I will have lots more help here - which will be fantastic. 

I hope the anti biotic kicks in and gives him some relief!  Those ears were very red and probably very painful.  I had him at the Dr. thursday and they were fine - but between then and now the infection must have set in. 

Well must run - it's 9:45pm and I"m sure he'll be up bright and early tomorrow!
