Hi there, Well it's been a good and bad week for Cody. Couple of fantastic days, couple of really hard days. That seems to be his lifelong pattern. He is such a rock star in his home ABA therapy. He now can match 3 of anything. No matter what 3 objects are in front of him, when he's handed an identical 3 objects he matches them up perfectly! And he's imitating well. He's signing up a storm. The new sign I'm teaching him is for "bath" as we've just discovered our jacuzzi tub. For the last year and a half it has simply been referred to as "The hamper" as it's been the home of all of our dirty clothes. :) It's in our master bath and it just turned into the storage spot for dirty laundry. When I finally got to the bottom of our laundry pile this week - lo and behold - it's a jacuzzi tub! I jest - I knew all along but just never really thought about it much. But Cody's been so enjoying his bath times that I finally cranked up the jets on the jacuzzi tub and he took his first bath in it yesterday. He was euphoric! His eyes got as big as saucers, both hands and both feet were propped in front of their own individual jet. He just loved it. It will now be a once (or twice) a day adventure. The VNS hasn't posed any problems - it's now been turned on a week! Bad news is his allergies have kicked up so the last few days were hard for him and his seizures went nuts for a few days. But he slept like a rock last night and overall, I'd have to say he's quite a bit happier and more smiley since the VNS came on. Had to share this hysterical video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EvE0qTxZ3M My friend Kat sent it to me - it's the cheesiest, funniest, Jesus song you'll ever hear! Play it if you want a good laugh. Wonder where this group is today??!? That's it for now - hope you are having a great Thursday! love, Shawna
