I have a tip.  A website called www.missingmoney.com

My mom called me one day and said, "hey I read in a magazine that there's this website that will tell you if you have any money lurking around out there to claim."  Good old mom - finally the hundreds she spends on Women's Day, Family Circle, Reader's Digest etc. paid off.  I went to the site on a lark and entered my name and city - and up popped 5 different "monies" waiting for me to collect them.  Four were from an old health insurance corporation and one was from a TV corporation I'd worked for long ago.  Four said "under $100" and the TV corp. said "over $100."  They had the addresses where I'd lived at the right times - and they asked for no money.  All I had to do was fill out a form online and submit my "claims" to those 5 amounts.  The hitch was I had to give my SS # - so I checked out the site as thoroughly as I could and all seemed legit from the research I did.  So I took a leap of faith (dumb tho it may have been) and entered my claims and waited.  Quite awhile went by - probably 6 or 8 weeks - and just yesterday I got a check in the mail for over $800 dollars!  The check was from the Washington State Dept. of Revenue and signed by the state treasurer.  So there ya go!  Who knew!?!  I write this just in case any of you might find some missing money too!

We had Don's parents up for the weekend so the boys got lots of cuddle time with Don's folks.  I saw Mama Mia (my little break for the weekend.)  Every once in awhile (probably about once a month) I look at Don on a weekend and say, "I r-e-a-l-l-y need a break." And I trot off to a movie and escape for 2 hours.  This was one of those weekends.  Cody's got this obsessive-compulsive habit lately of blowing raspberries with his mouth - and he *literally* does it non-stop *all* day.  It becomes like Chinese Water Torture.  Hour after hour after hour.  Last night he even woke up in his sleep, sat up and make the raspberry sound "PHLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEBBBBBBBBBBBBBBT" and laid back down and fell into a deep sleep again.  As I often say to him on these days, "you are one STRANGE dude!"  Clearly it fills some sensory need and let's face it, it's better than chronic mastur*ation so I'm not complaining.  However, I do need a break from the sheer intensity of Mr. Raspberry every now and then.  The movie was good - purely fluff - and you must like campy ABBA music of don't go.  I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.  Good love stories, fun fun fun.  But not exactly Oscar worthy.  Don and I rented Fool's Gold last night and it was cute.  Again, fluff.  Seems to be what I'm drawn to lately - movies that won't make me think, cry, or wince.  :)   I figure I do enough of that on a daily basis.  Haha.

I hope you had a nice weekend.  That's our news for now!

love, Shawna
