Click on that site and you won't believe this guy's story! I heard him talk to Ichabod Caine on KMPS this morning. Long story short, this guy was electrocuted and lost both legs and an arm! He spiraled down into drinking and drugs because he felt like life wasn't worth living. He met his now-wife Darla and she introduced him to the Lord - took him to church - and he gave his life to Christ shortly thereafter. Now he's a motivational speaker all over the country and has 3 kids! He lives in Gig Harbor too! This weekend he's beginning a bike ride across America (with 1 ARM) - to inspire hope and courage. He'll leave Gig Harbor and end up at the 9-11 site in NYC. This guy is amazing - has such a love for Jesus. And what a love story - his wife met him after his accident - saw beyond his disability - and when he met her he says he fell "head over wheels in love." Now they have 3 gorgeous kids together. This is a story that gives me hope - and encourages me to dream big - even in the face of overwhelming disability. I have always been a fan of Team Hoyt (www.teamhoyt.com) and now I am adding Bob Mortimer to my list of heroes. They make me realize that you don't have to stop dreaming. Disability isn't a death sentence. It makes me want to live life BIG and find God's great purpose for this pain. Not sure how that will look - but I will keep dreaming until I figure that out. Hope you enjoy his story. I know I did. love, Shawna
